ZDC Preconstruction Services was founded based upon the trials we faced during our years in the remodeling business. Production  and completion of a remodel project is supposed to be the hard part. Most of us became Generals because it was a natural evolution from being Artisans.

Building a beautiful project is supposed to be the thing we do using our unique skill set and experience in the industry. Clients' needs combined with the ordinances and standards set by the governing body of a jurisdiction adds another highly technical, supremely dangerous, and monumentally difficult aspect to remodeling.

Choices builders select from are few and most of them remove control of a project from them. Hiring architects and interior designers introduces new opinions, perspectives, and often more costs to the project. Builders must retain control of their projects to assure c ost controls and credibility from the homeowner.

More often than not architects and interior designers take control of the project, creating conflict between homeowner and General Contractor and increased costs due to elevating the scope of work.

ZDC Preconstruction Services has its roots in the construction industry. We are former builders ourselves. Because of that experience, we know how to support the builder by providing only those services the builder requires, while creating beautiful designs based upon the GC's budget restraints. We appear to be a working part of the Builder's team of pros and premium vendors, led by the Builder rather than the other way around.

We work for the Builder. We do not accept referrals to work directly with a homeowner without Builder oversight. The homeowner never takes control of the project, endangering cost and quality.

We are your off-site Preconstruction Services team, similar to off site IT firms or those vendors who serve the workings of your everyday office needs..
